The older i get the more able i am to see clearly what have been right choices, and wrong choices throughout my life. Falling onto the side of ‘Right’ has been my willingness, and desire to stay in touch with (however infrequently) family and friends who i’ve held dear.
This extends to my many school friends, who again, as we mature (cough) have become even more precious to me, i was reminded of this when i found the above old photo of myself and Grant, one of my best friends all through school, and the most recent one of us taken a couple of weeks ago. There is a lot to be said for being able to sit down with people who you’ve known since you were four or five years old.
You can’t bullshit these people, they know your story from the very begining, and that brings a level of comfort you could never put a price on.
